Get in the holiday spirit with a new M/M romance!
This year, I was in the holiday spirit early. Really early, considering I was writing a holiday romance before Halloween. It’s amazing how writing — or reading — holiday romance can so strongly affect your mood!
What I love about holiday romance is that unlike the big displays of decor and gifts at department stores, it’s really all about love, friendship, family. Holiday traditions play a part in just about every holiday romance I’ve read. The commercial side of the holiday takes a back seat so we can focus on what’s truly important about the season.
My newest holiday romance, All I Want Is You, is about two best friends who have taken different paths in life and their two families, which have become intertwined. When Eli returns home for the holidays after eight years away, his former best friend Turner is stunned — but also grateful to have another chance to regain a treasured friendship. His attraction to Eli, which he suppressed while they were teenagers, is more difficult to ignore now that he’s out of the closet as a bisexual. Eli, for his part, has always loved Turner — and knows exactly what he wants for Christmas.
There are trips to a Christmas tree farm, holiday displays to set up, a tour of Christmas lights, a holiday party, and — of course — Christmas Day with the family!
I’ve written four holiday romances now: Winter Blom (virginal intern falls for single dad); Chance for Christmas (holiday party, second chance romance); Yours for the Holiday (brother’s best friend, enemies to lovers); and now All I Want Is You.
One kiss under the mistletoe destroyed a friendship. Will another Christmas kiss remake it into something better?
Eli hasn’t been home since he left at eighteen with a heart aching from his best friend’s rejection and his father’s intolerance. But when his father reaches out, Eli figures it’s time to make peace with his family. He doesn’t expect to come face-to-face with Turner too — or to learn that the straight friend he’d foolishly loved is actually bisexual — but once the shock wears off, he knows exactly what he wants for Christmas.
Turner’s life isn’t everything he’d once planned, but he’s happy to be the shoulder his loved ones lean on. They keep him busy, which is just as well since none of his dates have really clicked. He hasn’t been able to connect with anyone the way he did with his former best friend. When Eli shows up for the holidays after years away, Turner doesn’t know what hit him. But he knows one thing: This time, he wants to give Eli a reason to stay.
All I Want Is You is a friends to lovers, second-chance romance with an HEA.
